The Art of Recovery
Operating a coffee shop or restaurant is a calamity of a multi-faceted machine. At any one moment, there can be at least 4-10 different issues that require your attention whether it’s a broken piece of hardware, an employee calling in sick, ran out of napkins, or a natural disaster, your customers expect the same great service day in and day out, which is what they deserve. Most customers...

Sampling is a cheap and easy way to have...

How clean is your coffee shop?
After seeing this post on Eater Seattle, http://seattle.eater.com/archives/2011/09/29/zoka-responds-to-allegations-of-rat-poo.php#more, it got me thinking about restaurants and cafes that are known for their amazing and delicious menu, but fall short in the cleanliness department. I don’t know about you, but I’d rather have a sub-par meal from a super clean place than eat at a 4-star...

Pumpkin spice syrup is a staple at our house. I’ll definitely be trying this recipe when our current supply runs out!
Wish I had time to make my own Pumpkin Syrup. I guess I’ll happily stick to 1883 Pumpkin. ;-)

The line wasn’t too bad and the coffee was hot plus if I didn’t go for the taste that morning some Vanilla syrup and cream made it drinkable. The thing that got me was the $2.40 per 16oz cup, which is almost $50 a month!! My officemate also would stop to grab a coffee too so between the two of us...
